Warm Homes: Local Grant is part of the UK government's Warm Homes Plan. It funds improvements including insulation, heat pumps, solar panels and other low-carbon measures for eligible households in England. Funding is distributed to local authorities, who decide how to allocate it within their area.
Who may qualify?
- Households in England with a gross income broadly equivalent to lower-income thresholds
- Homes with EPC ratings E, F or G — or D in some cases
- Both owner-occupiers and private renters (landlords may need to contribute)

What improvements are funded?

Warm Homes: Local Grant vs ECO4
Both schemes can fund similar measures, but they work differently. ECO4 is delivered by energy suppliers through TrustMark-registered contractors. Warm Homes: Local Grant is delivered by local authorities who may work with approved local contractors. Households may qualify for one or both.
