Heat Pump Grant Checker UK
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) provides grants towards replacing fossil fuel heating with low-carbon heat pumps in England and Wales. Other schemes operate in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Boiler Upgrade Scheme
BUS provides a grant towards the cost of installing an air source or ground source heat pump (or biomass in some cases). Grant amounts and rules are set by Government and reviewed periodically.
Who may be eligible
- Owner-occupiers and private landlords in England and Wales
- Replacing fossil fuel heating (gas, oil, LPG, electric)

Scotland and Northern Ireland
Home Energy Scotland offers a grant and interest-free loan for heat pumps. Northern Ireland has its own Affordable Warmth and energy efficiency support.
