Common UK schemes include ECO4 (running until December 2026), the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, Warm Homes: Local Grant and country-specific support such as Nest in Wales and Home Energy Scotland. The Great British Insulation Scheme closed to new applications on 31 March 2026.
You may be eligible for fully or partly funded improvements if you meet the criteria of national or local schemes. Final eligibility is confirmed by an approved installer or your council.
Some schemes are open to private and social tenants where the landlord consents. Owner-occupiers and landlords are typically the primary route.
